By downloading or using Pawdometer you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Pawdometer is a walk tracker for you and your dog. It records your route while a walk is running, and shows distance, duration, pace, steps and a history of your walks over time. It is a record keeping and motivation tool.
Your dog and your surroundings come first. Do not look at your phone while crossing a road, while your dog is reacting to something, or in any situation that needs your attention. Never use the app while driving or cycling. You are responsible for your own safety, for your dog's safety, and for everyone around you.
Pawdometer is not an emergency system, not a navigation system, and not a pet locator. It records where your phone went, not where your dog is. Never rely on it to find a lost animal, to find your way back, or in any situation where a failure could cause harm. Always carry a way to call for help.
GPS, motion sensors and any effort or calorie figure the app shows are approximations. Accuracy depends on your device, on satellite reception, on weather, on buildings and trees, and on the permissions you granted. Distance, pace and effort can be wrong, sometimes by a lot. Do not use these numbers for anything that requires precision.
Pawdometer does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, in you or in your dog, and nothing in the app is veterinary or medical advice. Exercise needs vary enormously by breed, age, weight, temperature and health. If you have any doubt about how much your dog should be walking, talk to a veterinarian. Nothing in the app is a substitute for professional care.
Recording a route uses GPS continuously and will consume battery faster than normal. iOS may suspend or end background activity to protect battery or memory, which can interrupt or shorten a recording. We do not promise that every walk will be captured completely.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Pawdometer on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app.
Pawdometer may offer paid features through auto-renewing subscriptions or one-time purchases. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Your walks, your notes and your dog's profile are yours. They are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own backups, including through your device backup. We cannot recover data from a lost, reset or damaged device.
Use Pawdometer for yourself and your own animals. Do not use it to track another person, and do not use it to break any law or to interfere with the app's normal operation.
Pawdometer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Pawdometer, including injury, loss of an animal, lost data, or decisions made based on figures the app displayed. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
